Fulmars Swanpool

This was very much just a rekey shoot. I had seen Fulmars on the cliffs round from Swanpool beach and wanted to see if it was possible to photograph them and to try and explore the area for the best angles. When I had seen them there previously there had been a number of pairs of birds however when I arrived this time there was only one pair, which proceeded to fly away.

The first time I had seen them the tide had been almost high to the point where I was close to being cut off however I had chosen to go at low tide this time. I am not sure if the tide has anything to do with the amount of birds being there. At high tide it is impossible to walk round to where they are however at low tide it becomes quite busy with lots of people walking along the rocky beach.

I was only able to get a couple of shots on this visit and at 200mm these are fair away shots not really useable.
